This Privacy Policy explains how Astra Test Prep ("Astra," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information through astratestprep.com and our blog at blog.astratestprep.com (together, the "Sites"). It also covers communications you start from the Sites, such as calls, text messages, emails, and chat messages.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites or services, which have their own privacy policies. It is a website privacy policy for Astra Test Prep only and is not a patient privacy notice for any dental practice.
1. Information We Collect
Information you give us. Depending on how you contact us, this may include:
We do not currently accept payments through the Sites. If a payment is arranged with you through a payment provider such as PayPal, you enter your payment details with that provider, and its privacy policy applies to that information.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Sites, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location derived from your IP address, pages viewed, referring website, links clicked, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected using cookies, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies, as described below.
2. How We Use Information
Submitting an inquiry or form is not permission to send you unrelated marketing. We will not add you to a newsletter or send you marketing emails or marketing text messages unrelated to your request unless you separately agree. You can ask us to stop sending updates at any time.
3. How Information Is Shared
We share information with the following categories of service providers and other parties, for the purposes described:
When you click links to our social media profiles or other websites, those platforms may collect information under their own policies. We use a WordPress tool to share new blog posts to LinkedIn; it publishes our posts and does not share information about blog visitors.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Technology
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Pixels and scripts are pieces of code that send information to a website or service provider when a page loads.
On astratestprep.com, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. According to our website provider, tracking cookies are enabled only after you click Accept. Our Google Analytics setup uses Google's consent mode, which sets analytics and advertising storage to "denied" by default until a choice is recorded.
Some tools may still load when you visit a page and receive information such as your IP address and the page you are viewing. These include reCAPTCHA, the embedded map, the chat widget, our form provider, and our website provider's site performance scripts. In addition, the OpenAI advertising measurement tag in our Google Tag Manager container is set to load on every page where Tag Manager runs and is not separately configured to wait for a cookie choice.
Your choices. The banner does not currently provide a separate settings link. To change your choice, clear cookies and site data for astratestprep.com in your browser; the banner should appear again on your next visit. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Blocking some cookies or scripts may affect how the Sites work.
Third-party tracking across websites. Third parties, including Google, OpenAI, and GoDaddy, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Sites.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
The Sites do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We have not configured the Sites to automatically detect or respond to Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If you want to opt out of analytics or advertising measurement, use the choices above or contact our Privacy Officer, and we will review and respond to your request as required by applicable law.
6. Your Requests: Access, Correction, and Deletion
You may ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to stop sending you updates, by calling our Privacy Officer (contact details below). We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may keep certain information when we are legally required to, or when we have a legitimate need, such as keeping records of our communications, resolving disputes, or preventing fraud. Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies to Astra, you may have additional rights; we will respond to requests as required by applicable law.
7. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, such as responding to you, keeping you informed about Astra's availability if you asked us to, maintaining business records, and meeting legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it. Our service providers may also keep information according to their own retention practices.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information. No website, internet transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send Social Security numbers, passport or other government ID numbers, or financial account numbers through our forms, chat, email, or text messages.
9. External Links and Third-Party Services
The Sites contain links to and content from third-party websites and services, such as Google, Jotform, PayPal, and social media platforms. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their privacy policies before providing information to them.
10. Children's Privacy
The Sites are intended for adult dental professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact our Privacy Officer so we can delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date above. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the Sites and, where appropriate, notify you directly using the contact information you provided.
